Alarm Output*

If the Alarm Enable is connected to the battery, the Alarm Output will output the battery voltage if the handheld is NOT attached to the charger. If the handheld is on the charger, the Alarm Output wire will be at 0V. This output can provide up to 500mA.

Alarm Option

The use of the Alarm Output is optional. The purpose of this output is to allow the user to control an external device (LED, buzzer, relay, etc…). For example, this output can be configured to turn on when the remote control is missing from the charger AND the parking brake or ignition is turned on.

This output enabled by connecting Alarm Enable to the power wire. If the handheld is not on the charger, the Alarm Output wire will provide power (+12V or +24V).

Mute Button (some models)

While charging, the button LED will be off.

When not charging, the button LED will flash and the alarm buzzer will sound until the remote control is returned to the charger.

Mute – To temporarily mute the alarm, press the button. The LED will repeatedly flash three times followed by a pause and the alarm will be silenced for 30 minutes.

Silence – Hold the button for 3 seconds. The button LED will turn off and the alarm buzzer will be silenced indefinitely.

Putting a remote control on the charger will automatically clear “Mute” or “Silence” modes.
